Write non stop

Two camels in the desert

We often tend to think critically about what we writing. Too boring, too cheezy, too silly... says our brain even before the text reaches the paper.

In this exericise, we will try no to think at all. Just write.

Write whatever comes to mind when you hear the word "roadtrip".

Wite in two minutes. Don't stop to reflect. No matter how weird or mundane your thoughts are, write them down.

If your mind goes like "oh no I don't have anything to say about roadtrips, my mind is blank, I'never been to a roadtrip, I don't even have a car, and the only trip I can remember right now is when I took a taxi from the pub last saturday". Well, then write that. The important thing is that you keep writing.

Variations

Are you ready for a new exercise? Then write down everything year think about when you hear the word "roadtrip".

All good things are three. Write down all thoughts that appear when you hear the word "cappuccino".

The text can be in any form you like. Prose, poetry, postcard, meeting protocol, checklist, chat, newspaper article or anything else.

If you don't want to pick the form yourself, I suggest that you write a diary entry.
