Café

Exploring a new country can require a break now and then. Luckily, the Rif Mountains are full of cafés. Cheap, down-to-earth, football-loving, smoky, fancy, family-friendly. There are all sorts of cafés.

Moroccans are proud of their tea; I’ve written a short guide to the teas available in cafés. Many cafés also offer freshly squeezed juice. Virtually all cafés serve breakfast.

Of course, you can order in English or French if you wish. But it’s much more fun if you use the local language.
